Can't decide between the EF 40mm Art, the 50mm f/1.2 GM and the EF 105mm f/1.4 Art.

The GM is the best lens, beside it's incompatibility with my R5.  It's still good enough to leave the 40mm Art at home though.  The FE 85mm f/1.4 GM was supposed to do the same for the 105mm f/1.4 Art: being a light weight alternative for that boat anchor.

It is much lighter, yes, but the rendering isn't the same.

So maybe the 105mm Art is my best lens. Fits both bodies. Irreplaceable, despite the weight. On the R5 compatible with the drop in filter adapter to use a polarizer to avoid too bright reflections in the bokeh. Relatively fast AF. Rond bokeh at f/2.0.  Good reach, and sharp enough to crop for the same amount of detail as 150mm on 24Mp.

Perfect lens. Nothing beats a large front element.
